Mountain Roots Community Theatre Seeks Young Performers for Peter Pan

Mountain Roots Community Theatre in Milton, WV, is inviting children ages 7 and up to audition for their upcoming production of Peter Pan. The theatre company emphasizes inclusivity—no prior acting experience is required, and all children are welcome regardless of gender identity, ethnicity, ability, or socioeconomic background. The company’s leaders are trained special educators and even speak ASL, ensuring a fully supportive environment for every participant.

Mountain Roots Community Theatre production of Anything Goes (2023)

Rehearsals will take place on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6–9 p.m., beginning August 18, with performances scheduled for October 17–26. Roles are available for Lost Kids, Pirates, Mermaids, and Fairies, giving children of all skill levels a chance to shine on stage.

Looking ahead, Mountain Roots Community Theatre will follow Peter Pan with the world premiere of Scrooge and Marley's Unfinished Business, a new play by West Virginia playwright Gary Reynolds. This upcoming production will feature a limited number of children in the cast, along with several adult roles.
